USING OUR WEBSITE- The website has useful information for bookstores. They can learn about our company and its publishing activities; become familiar with our books; and see reviews by others on specific books. Their personnel may read our online newsletter, which allows them to see writing style and topics stressed. They can learn different ways to contact us via the Company page. Any bookstore can provide us feedback about the website, our newsletter, and our books for sale.

As a commercial customer, you can go to the Order page and review our shopping cart to see which products are available. Refer to the Books and Downloads page for details about a specific product. Unfortunately, you cannot order online. Our shopping cart doesn't show full retail prices for some products, nor is it set up to calculate the normal discounts used in the book industry. Also, it doesn't offer various means of billing / invoicing. For these same reasons, you can't use the Mail or Fax Order Form referred to on the Order page. A way to do ordering is explained below.

ESTABLISHING A BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP - A small or independent bookstore does not have to establish a formal business relationship with us to order books. Bookstore personnel can merely contact us by phone, fax, email or via a letter to place an order. However, when they do this, it is assumed they accept our standard terms and conditions for bookstores. This may not be true. For larger bookstores or chain bookstores with stores in many locations, we prefer that a formal business relationship be established with us before orders are placed. For both small and large book stores, we recommend that they review our terms and conditions given below. These are general and can be subject to negotiation with a particular bookstore. If you have any questions or comments about them, please make a list of your concerns. Then contact us directly at 503-970-4192 to discuss terms and conditions. At this time, bring up any questions or concerns you have. If you have none, we'll assume that you accept our terms and conditions as they are. If you do have concerns, we'll discuss them. Then we can finalize specific terms and conditions for your store. These include the discounts allowed; billing procedures; determining shipping charges and various carrier options; and deciding upon a returns policy. You will then be ready to place orders with us.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Our standard terms and conditions for bookstores are given below.

Ordering Information
Provide the following information when placing an order :

  • Item Description - Title and ISBN for books
  • Quantity and Price
  • Person initiating or authorizing the order
  • Bill To and Ship To Information
  • Sales Tax Exemption Number (if applicable)
  • Special Instructions

Prices
Prices charged are those in effect when the order is placed or the sale is made.
The current full retail price of our products are :
       Book         Better Parenting : A Simple Approach       $30.00

Prices are in US dollars, and they apply to the United States, its territories and possessions. For products sold to customers in other countries, the price will be set by the exchange rate in effect at the time of the sale.

Discounts
The discount rate for bookstores is 40% off of the full retail price. This is for books which can be returned to us if you do not sell them. If a bookstore will order books without the option of being able to return them, then the discount rate is 45%. All discounts are applied against the full retail price of the product.

Shipping and Handling Costs
Shipping charges are normally by paid by us, and goods will be sent via the carrier selected by us.
Shipping charges, when paid by the bookstore, are added to the total price of the order. The goods will be shipped via the carrier selected by the store.
Handling fees, if applicable, are paid by the customer.

Sales Tax
Sales taxes, if applicable, are added to the total price of the order.
Customers, like bookstores, who purchase products for resale must submit their Tax Exemption Number with the purchase order, or sales tax will be charged.

Payment
Bookstores can prepay their orders (Cash-With-Order), or submit payment within 30 days of invoice date (Net 30 Days). Late payments will be charged 1% per month.
No products are sold on consignment.
Payments must be made in United States dollars drawn on a U.S. bank.

Delivery
All orders will be processed within two days after receiving them.
Orders will be sent by ground, not air delivery, unless other arrangements have been made.
If an item is out of stock, the bookstore will be notified by email. If it is too far in the future, the store can cancel the order for that item and receive a credit or refund for it. Other items on the same order will be shipped.

Tracking
After placing an order with us, you can track it on our shopping cart by going to the top of the cart and clicking "Track Your Order". Merely type in the carrier, UPS or Fed Ex or USPS, and the tracking number assigned to the shipment. We supply this to you via email when the order is shipped.

Defective Products
Defective or damaged products may be returned for replacement or credit within thirty days.
All claims must be accompanied by a copy of the packing slip, sales receipt, or invoice. These documents will show what we shipped and when.

We will pay the freight and select the carrier. For shipments within the United States, the goods are to be returned by ground delivery, via the United States Post Office, using "Media Rate". This rate will accept shipments up to seventy pounds, which should cover all such shipments. For defective products being returned from locations outside the United states, please contact us about shipping arrangements.

Book Returns
Book Returns are accepted when stated in the original invoice.
Returns must be after 90 days and before one year of the purchase date.
Books must be unmarked and in mint condition. There is a handling fee of 5% of the retail price. (Damaged books are not returnable.)
A copy of the invoice or invoice number must be included with each returned item to assure proper customer credit.
Shipping (freight) costs are paid by the customer. Ship all books to the following address: 830 NE 73rd Ave  ,  Hillsboro  OR 97124 , USA.
